Compared to the previous model with HD resolution, the new sensor is 66.67% larger and brings even more details and sharpness at every zoom level. But that's not even the best part: the higher resolution also comes with a larger field of view. Specifically, the combination of the HD sensor and 50mm lens allows hunters a field of view of 17.5°. Thanks to the continuous zoom, which delivers a revealing image across the entire range from 2 to 16 times, there are no more compromises between magnification and field of view. These unique features and the unparalleled image sharpness make the Merger LRF XT50 one of the most versatile devices: it will serve hunters well when targeting small, fast-moving objects at greater distances or wide open areas, providing an extremely revealing image even in wooded areas. With such a large sensor, we were able to achieve lossless pixel-to-pixel image transfer from the sensor to the display. While it's up to the user to decide whether to turn it on or off, for those who enjoy recording videos and desire maximum stability, this feature is indispensable.
