This cylinder release slide does not need to be reworked and can simply be replaced with the existing one.

This enlarged drum release button makes it easier and quicker to change the cartridges. The drum can be opened/unlocked much more quickly and easily than with conventional drum release buttons. This cylinder slide is also ideal for "normal use", as it not only makes handling the gun much easier, but is also a real eye-catcher on the shooting range and of course a real upgrade for your revolver. This "Extendet-Cylinder-Release" is equally suitable for all S&W revolvers with K-, L- and N-frame, is beautifully crafted and made of stainless steel. The satin surface has been matted by glass bead blasting. The non-slip, almost sharp ribbing on the "thumb rest" guarantees that even a sweaty thumb has 100% grip. Thanks to its long and slim design, this release offers even simpler and improved handling compared to tuning parts from other well-known manufacturers...

Simply remove the screw in the barrel slide of your revolver, then remove the old slide and replace it (with the original screw) with the new "Extendet Release". The release change is complete.

To ensure a secure and permanently "recoil-proof" installation, we recommend adding half a drop of Loctide "medium" threadlocker or similar to the screw nut when installing the long release.
