Except for the lens and the sensor, it shares all features with the heavy-duty models. Due to its large lens size of 50mm, the device has a high base magnification. Therefore, the Cyclops650 is particularly suitable for field hunting and for longer distances, where a very good image representation is still obtained. The device is equipped with a particularly large battery with over 12 hours of battery life, an innovative digital AI rangefinder, a modern V3 thermal imaging detector with 384 x 288px resolution, as well as additional equipment such as a thermal target seeker, 5 color palettes, and multiple image modes. Innovations of the ThermTec Cyclops V2 series ThermTec is a Chinese manufacturer of thermal sensor technology, now entering the market with ThermEye Cyclops thermal imaging devices. The devices in this series are equipped with several innovations that are making waves: ➤ NEW AI distance estimation: (See video) The ThermEye devices feature a novel intelligent distance estimation. The software estimates the distance to the target and displays it on the screen, working up to around 200m distance. ➤ NEW AI object recognition: (See video) In collaboration with the rangefinder, the Cyclops software also recognizes the type of target being viewed. The software can differentiate between human & animal. ➤ NEW display representation in different colors: Other thermal imaging devices display the image in grayscale. The Cyclops devices offer more and can display the image in gray, purple, and blue to adapt to different weather situations. ➤ NEW 2-way WLAN function: Previous devices could already be connected to mobile devices. However, the Cyclops takes it further by allowing access to the data connection of the internet-enabled mobile device via WLAN. (Cyclops → mobile WLAN → internet connection). This way, the camera image can be streamed live to the internet. ➤ NEW app support with recognition notification: The Cyclops devices can communicate with your mobile device via the ThermTec app. Through the app, settings can be adjusted on the device and photos and videos can be transferred. New is the option to receive a notification via the app as soon as the software recognizes an object (human / animal). The app then displays a push notification (depending on the settings) on the mobile device.
