The Lansky TRI-STONE BENCHSTONE is equipped with three different sharpening stones. A diamond stone with 120 grit for pre-grinding very dull or broken blades, an aluminum oxide stone with 280 grit for achieving a good utility sharpness, and a ceramic stone with 1000 grit for the final honing of the blades. The 280 and 1000 grit stones should be used with oil.
