SAUER 303 STRIKE WITH STYLE!

The new S303 is the only premium self-loading rifle on the market. It combines a stylish appearance with maximum efficiency and, like a double rifle, offers a safe follow-up shot without manual repeating. But it offers even more: the completely redesigned self-loading mechanism reduces recoil and muzzle flip by almost 30 percent. Its precision remains unerring at all times.

Shorter buttstock, modified offset and slim pistol grip: The S 303 Artemis is the first SAUER self-loading rifle specially tailored to the body dimensions of women and petite persons.

Thanks to the 950g 'Black-Magic' fine trigger with absolutely dry characteristics and 3-shot SUB MOA precision, this semi-automatic rifle is ideally suited for all types of hunting, including hide hunting.
With lines and balance similar to the SAUER bolt-action rifles, the SAUER 303 is without doubt the most elegant self-loading rifle on the market.
Thanks to its superior technology, the new S303 is the absolute hunting queen when it comes to maximum concentration on the prey.

[The stock]
The SAUER wooden stock with the name 'ErgoCompact' is adapted to the physiognomy of women. It impresses with a shorter LOP (-30mm) to a total of 335mm. With less drop, shorter trigger length and a slimmer pistol grip, the stock is ideal for women AND "small" men. The version offered here is made of walnut wood. The fine Laserline grain gives this premium self-loading rifle its elegant appearance.
The 303 Select is also available with 'ERGO LIFT' buttstock adjustment for an extra charge.

[Safety]
The ambitious hunter does not want to do without the maximum safety of a manual cocking device, even with a self-loading rifle.
The non-slip hand cocking ensures superior safety and quick readiness to fire at the decisive moment. As with the S 404, the smooth-running metal slide of the S 303 is ergonomically positioned perfectly on the bolt, allowing not only comfortable but also extremely quiet cocking. By pressing the button, the cocking slide - controlled by the thumb - glides silently back into the relaxed position. Of course, loading and unloading in the relaxed position has also been considered: simply tap the cocking slide and open safely.
It goes without saying that the lock remains cocked after the first shot has been fired! The semi-automatic rifle does not have to be cocked again and again for subsequent shots.

The proven and popular MagLock magazine lock now also secures the S 303's "ammunition supply". Optimally positioned, it not only prevents unintentional loss of the magazine, but is also literally released at the flick of a wrist when a new magazine needs to be reloaded.

[The technology]
Timing is the decisive factor for the function of all self-loading firearms. All mechanical processes must be carried out within a defined time frame:
- Unlocking
- Opening (extraction and ejection of the case, parallel ascent of the cartridge column)
- Cocking the hammer system
- Feeding a new cartridge from the magazine into the chamber
- Locking
Only then is the so-called 'full cycle' achieved. The new SAUER 303 has been consistently further developed to fulfill this function under countless conditions and parameters.
The main focus here was, among other things, on 'smoothing' the mechanical processes, constantly supplying the system with this appropriate force for every shot, producing a defined and constant feed and closing force, improving the extraction and ejection, even with critical ammunition, increasing the resistance to soiling and stabilizing the friction values even under heavy use and/or soiling.
Thanks to the completely new design of the bolt geometries, unlocking and locking is now much smoother and more consistent than in the past. This means that less initial energy is required to drive the entire system, which not only makes it much easier to harmonize all mechanical processes, but also significantly reduces the load on the parts (e.g. loading lever).
By changing the material (to steel) for the gas housing and creating a perfectly circular gas channel, the energy introduced to start the system remains constant under all conditions and regardless of the number of shots.
The optimized gas extraction guarantees the high reliability and long service life of the S 303. Made of steel, it also ensures the desired top-heaviness of the rifle and thus optimum vibration characteristics when shooting on the run.
The multi-wire spring now fitted to all calibers always works in a constant range and cannot fatigue. The new S 303 has two ejectors instead of just one to eject the empty case safely and in a defined manner.
The barrel and chamber of the SAUER 303 are completely hard chrome-plated on the inside.

[Trigger]
The new SAUER 303 is equipped with the brilliant 'Black Magic Trigger' direct trigger as standard.
With a trigger pull weight of only approx. 950g, it offers sufficient resistance for driven hunts and is still crystal clear for precise long-range shots when hunting from a hide. This makes this self-loader the perfect companion in any hunting situation.

[Precision]
Like the action, the cold-hammer forged precision barrel is manufactured in Isny, Germany.
Every SAUER 303 barrel guarantees the world-famous SAUER precision (3-shot SUB MOA). The permanently hard chrome-plated inner barrel protects the S303 against dirt for longer. This means that the semi-automatic rifle can be used for longer between cleaning intervals.
From now on, the tried and tested Sauer Universal Mounting (SUM), which is accurate to the point of return, is also the measure of all things for the new S 303. This ensures that the shooter can acquire the target at lightning speed without having to raise the head excessively and can call up the precision of his rifle. The SUM is available for all standard mounting rails and for all ring diameters from 1 inch to 40 mm.

[Sights]
The perfectly arranged open sights 'Allround' are perfect for robust hunting use, e.g. driven hunts. But it can also be used on the shooting range to put the shot precisely on the target.
It fits elegantly into the lines of the S303 and does not look like an afterthought.

The rifle is delivered ex works in a box, just like SAUER.
