The Ruger Precision Rimfire is a serious training firearm, even for large-caliber shooters. That is why the bolt travel is adjustable. The gun is delivered from the factory with the slide travel for small-caliber cartridges, which is only about 3.9 cm long (without clip approx. 7.5 cm). If a spring is removed from the slide, the slide travel is significantly longer and thus simulates a large-caliber slide. A sophisticated weapon! The adjustable butt plate is equipped with a low-profile Picatinny bag rider skid that facilitates the attachment of a rear spur. A recessed window provides a holding point for your shooting pad, and the recess allows you to easily attach a sling. The Precision Rimfire stock allows for quick and easy adjustment of trigger length and buttstock to achieve the proper fit over a wide range of shooter sizes, outerwear and shooting positions. Markings molded into the receiver help you quickly return to a previous position. The bolt path allows shooters to switch from a 1.5-inch (3.81 cm) rimfire (small bore) bolt path to a 3-inch (7.62 cm) short action (large bore) centerfire bolt path, reducing the risk of underrepeating in competition. The trigger weight of the 'Ruger Marksman Adjustable' trigger can be adjusted from 2.25 to 5.0 pounds; the tool for this is located in the buttstock. The Ruger proprietary AR-style pistol grip and safety provide maximum control and access to the reversible 45-degree safety. Both can be configured with most AR-style grips and safeties. The anodized Picatinny rail has 30 MOA cant for shooting at longer ranges. The oversized bolt handle provides a secure grip (just like the Precision Rifle). The free-floating 15' handguard is made of hardened black anodized aluminum and features Magpul® M-LOK® slots on all four sides for attaching M-LOK compatible rails and accessories. The 18" target barrel is made from cold forged 1137 steel to achieve ultra-precise pulls with outstanding accuracy. The barrels can be easily replaced by a competent gunsmith using AR suitable tools and bolt spacing gauges.
