Description
Improved Algorithms for Image Processing The Axion 2 thermal imaging devices utilize a new approach to image optimization that delivers high-quality representations of both target objects and backgrounds, depending on the purpose and conditions of observation. Three levels of signal amplification combined with a connected smoothing filter and finely adjustable brightness and contrast settings offer hunters excellent opportunities to detect animals at long distances under various weather and temperature conditions and assess their trophy quality. Robust Magnesium Alloy Housing The Axion is designed for constant, often tough use. The magnesium alloy housing is both lightweight and durable. It reliably protects the internal components of a thermal imaging device from shock, drops, moisture, heat, or cold. At the same time, the metal housing dissipates heat from the electronics, minimizes image noise, and enhances the operational stability of the device during long-term observations. Highly Sensitive Lynred Sensor with 640x480 Pixels The Axion 2 XG35 is equipped with a European Lynred sensor with a resolution of 640x480 pixels (pixel size 12 micrometers), which captures a qualitatively useful signal even under difficult observation conditions such as rain, fog, and high humidity at the observation site. F35/1.0 Lens with Large Aperture The Germanium lens F35/1.0 offers high transmission in the long-wave infrared (LWIR) range. Thanks to the highly precise manufacturing of the optical elements of the lens, the image produced by the sensor of the Axion 2 thermal imaging device is characterized by its clarity and detail accuracy. Extended Battery Life: Up to 7 Hours on a Single Charge A high-capacity rechargeable APS5 battery enables continuous operation of the thermal imaging device for 7 hours on a single charge. The battery can be removed from the battery compartment in seconds and replaced with a new one. The battery is charged in a special device or within the unit from a PC, mains power system, or power bank via USB-C. The same sources are used for the external power supply of a thermal imaging device. Enhanced Wi-Fi Connectivity Supporting 2.4 / 5 GHz Frequency Range The Axion 2 XG thermal cameras supplement the frequency range of the standard smartphone connection over a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi channel with an effective 5 GHz range. The 5 GHz connection provides better bandwidth, faster data transmission rates, immunity to noise, and improved connection stability, leading to a more productive and easier operation of the thermal camera with a smartphone. 1750 m Detection Range A powerful F35/1.0 lens combined with a highly sensitive 640x480@12 µm thermal imaging sensor offers exceptional recording capabilities. A standard object 1.8 m tall can be detected in complete darkness at a distance of up to 1750 m. Field of View over 12.5 Degrees The Axion 2 XG thermal imaging devices are suitable for seeing over wide areas, for observation while moving, or for moving objects - the linear field of view is 21.9 m at 100 m distance or 12.5° in angular measurement. The "Picture in Picture" function activates an additional window at the top of the screen, where the central area of the observed scene is displayed magnified 2 or 4 times. This way, the informational content of a wide field of view can be combined with the detailed observation of the selected object. Pocket-Sized and Lightweight The Axion 2 XG has a space-saving design in a pocket format and weighs 300 grams. Due to the symmetrical design and the arrangement of the buttons on the top, the device is easy to hold and operate for both right- and left-handed users.
