The topic of knife sharpening is as old as the history of the knife itself and is constantly topical. However, the verdict of professional and private users alike on most knife sharpeners is often: too complicated, a puzzle to use, poor sharpening results, unsightly grinding marks on the blade, unsuitable for many knives or simply far too expensive. Boker specialist dealer Harald Stallegger from Salzburg has worked intensively on the subject of knife sharpening and has developed and patented a unique system, the Vulkanus knife sharpener. The solution: spring-loaded carbide rods with carbon fiber-reinforced polyamides, which are firmly attached to each blade.
