The bolt action rifle Mercury Tactical Evo US: a modern, technically advanced rifle that responds in every situation.
The Tactical EVO US is not just a restyling of the Tactical Synthetik, but a completely redesigned bolt action rifle. It is the result of years of study and hard work to develop the perfect rifle for all difficult applications where durability over time and accuracy are a must.
The stock of the Tactical EVO US, designed for dynamic shooting competitions, is made of a lighter polymer than the Tactical EVO. It also features 4 QD steel inserts for easy transport with a belt.
The Tactical EVO US is a high-tech rifle that offers all this and more by combining proven and advanced components, such as the MRR barrels, with completely new features.
The bolt system is completely redesigned with bolt pins. This comes with three robust lugs and a fast 60° opening angle. The handle of the bolt handle is interchangeable and can be individually fitted as required thanks to the 5/16' thread. All contact surfaces are highly polished to minimize movement friction and reduce noise significantly more than the rest of the market.
The rifle has a newly developed extractor made of 17-4PH steel. The chamber is extra well supported to prevent failures even at extremely high pressures.
But what really sets the Tactical EVO US apart from all other bolt action rifles on the market is the way the action is attached to the stock - the action floats above the stock through two supports that eliminate tension and improve accuracy.
The Tactical EVO comes with a tapered barrel from 28 to 22 mm diameter. The barrel features an improved multiradial barrel geometry that has further improved shooting performance and accuracy over the very strong results already provided by the first MRR system.
The barrel muzzle is supplied with a 5/8'x24 thread with blind cap for quick and easy mounting of compensators or muzzle brakes.
The nylon and fiberglass stock has been further modified. The outer surface is coated to improve the look, grip and abrasion resistance. The model also has an adjustable butt plate and cheek piece, making it highly customizable to the shooter.
The practical Picatinny rails make it quick and easy to change the optics or attach or detach a bipod.

The multi-radial barrel profile (MRR®)
When comparing a traditional barrel with a polygonal one and the multi-radial one, the latter is ideal for both traditional and solid bullets.
In multi-radial barrels, two different radii alternate, giving the bullet geometrically positive support without putting too much strain on it. In fact, the bullets are pressure-molded to follow the circumference and are not cut as in traditional barrels, which extends the service life of the barrel. In addition, there are no sharp corners as in other barrel systems where debris collects, keeping the barrel cleaner and reducing wear.
All the tests that have been carried out show that Multi-radial barrels shoot better and more accurately with conventional lead bullets and with solid bullets in cal. 7.62 mm (.308) and cal. 6.5 mm (.264) than traditionally shaped ones.
At standard pressure values, the exit velocity is higher than with the conventional barrel - up to 12% under certain circumstances. The bullet seals the barrel bore better so that no gas can escape to the front, which optimizes the effect of the drive energy. In addition, the friction between the bullet and the barrel is reduced to a minimum.
