The Featherweight 196 Titanium is a revolutionary product when it comes to weight and efficiency. Weighing just 196 grams, it performs just as well as much heavier and larger silencers. Like all Freyr & Devik silencers, the Featherweight 196Titanium has been specially developed for hunting. Material: Grade 5 titanium is used on the housing and in the core of the silencer chamber, where the temperature can exceed the melting point of aluminum. The strength and temperature resistance is crucial for a lightweight, robust and durable silencer. Freyr & Devik use high-strength aerospace aluminum for the parts that are less exposed to heat, such as the housing and front baffles.Design:The silencers are in the classic streamlined Freyr &Devik design. The tapered shape is also optimized for strength. It also allows the silencer to glide more smoothly through denser vegetation. The raised muzzle reduces water ingress when hunting in the rain. All Freyr & Devik silencers can be easily opened without the use of tools.
