FORSTER COAX-PRESS B5 - Product description
Reloading doesn't have to be complicated. The Co-Ax® press makes it easy and still delivers the proven precision of Forster equipment.
The Co-Ax® loading press has many special features that make it truly unique, for example:
*Easy die change with snap lock. Replacing the calibration die with the setting die takes just two seconds.
*Collection system for used primers. Used primers and soot are fed through a tube into a container. This keeps the devices free of dirt and abrasives.
*Two free-swinging guide rods ensure perfect alignment.
*Since absolutely no torque is transferred to the head piece of the Co-Ax® press, the longevity of the device is the rule, not the exception. Thanks to the special design of the connecting pieces and the bearings, the machine is always balanced, both when operating at maximum load and at rest.
*The Co-Ax® press is three times superior to a normal "C-press" in terms of the force required. So little force is required that you could operate the lever with your little finger even when fully calibrated. No effort, great effect.
*The Co-Ax® press delivers perfect alignment of the die and sleeve because the clamping jaws of the sleeve holder are designed to move freely suspended with the die. This allows the case to center itself precisely in the die.
*The Co-Ax® press has neither support pillars for the frame nor a swing-out primer setting arm that could get in the way during operation. The press offers plenty of freedom of movement for both right- and left-handed users.
*The Co-Ax® press works with all standard 7/8 "x14 reloading dies, some of which also work with the existing threaded rings. However, we recommend using the threaded rings from Forster.
*The unique top-mounted primer setter sets the primers correctly. The setting punch is always at a right angle to the base of the case. The primers cannot turn or tip over. They are set straight and evenly and always at the same distance from the base of the case. It is also impossible for the primers to be crushed or protrude from the base of the case (which could cause premature ignition).
*The lever deflection has a rock-solid locking mechanism at the end. This is important for even bolt spacing and uniform dimensions when seating bullets.
The jaws of the case holder of the Co-Ax® press guarantee perfect alignment. During the first test of this unique case holder design by the manufacturer, 200 once-fired .375 H&H Magnum cases were fully calibrated in a dry and ungreased condition. Neither the case bases were damaged nor did a case get stuck in the die. The case bases and rims showed no marks from the clamping jaws, as the case holder is freely suspended, allowing the cartridge case to center itself in the die. When a case is in the case holder, it is held in place by spring-loaded jaws that contact the bottom of the guide groove, which ensures better removal of spent parts. The case holder is also self-releasing, i.e. when a case is placed in the press and the lever is operated, the clamping jaws open and close over the cartridge rim. If the lever is pressed upwards, the clamping jaws open automatically and release the case.
