OTTER Knife: Bergmann Ebony An ode to the heritage of the Bergisches Land and beyond The design of the OTTER 'Bergmann' combines traditional craftsmanship and innovation from the regions around Solingen and is the perfect everyday companion The Bergmann is based on one of the very first knives from OTTER, the w e bermesser. The carbon blade with its very fine point refers to the original field of application in the textile and ribbon knitting factories of the Bergisches Land. The compact and rounded ebony handle with its black coloring is a reference point to the coal of the Ruhr area. The copper structures in the fat carbon bolsters are reminiscent of formations in coal seams. These reminders of the diverse roots of the region from which OTTER knives originate are combined in this completely handcrafted knife.
